My new router table – Phase one
So I don’t have much space to work with in may garage. I always wanted a router table but due to the space problem was stuck with my plunged router. I realty read an article of someone that added an extension wing to their table saw that accommodates the router. The only drawback I saw with this is that the router is stationary and you will still need to get under the table to make all the necessary adjustment. So I have decided that ill be putting it in my wooden extension wing. On a 3/4″ chipboard(Particle board) wing I had to get a little creative.
I have decided on the JessEm Mast-R-Lift II 02120 Router Lift, 9-1/4-Inch by 11-3/4-Inch. After a lot of research and ding thru reviews by other wood jockeys i have decided on this model.
As for the motor I was leaning towards porter cable but the Bosch 16176 2.25 Horsepower Electronic Variable Speed Router Motor.
I had to reinforce the table with 2 peaces of 3/4″ plywood to keep its integrity and also to have a place to connect my dust box( Yet to be build).
It works well, in Phase 2 ill build my diet collection system and in Phase 3 ill build my fence. Will upload pictures as i complete each phase.
