I hade to upgrade my dust collection system in the shop. I wanted to get the fine dust out of the shop. The collection system was move outside and needed plumbing back into the shop. All the different styles of piping was way to expensive so I decided to use drain pipe. It was a triple was and would withstand almost any vacuum pressures the dust collector could dish out.
For less than $200 the hole shop was plumed. The aluminum tape was used to seal the connections and the blast gates was a snug fit also. This whole exercise led me the opportunity to add dust collection at the lathe and above the table saw.
